Anti-Discriminatory Practice

In all of our work we need to be able to consider the needs of others and to be able to demonstrate anti-discriminatory practices. Joined-up Training is able to offer training in all areas of discrimination with highly experienced staff. Alongside this we can offer a complimentary  training in Learning Disability or Visual Impairment

Aims: To increase awareness and understanding of different cultures and diversity

 

By the end of the course participants will be able to :-

 

•Define culture, prejudice and stereotype and begin to challenge prejudice and stereotypes

 

•Distinguish between direct and indirect discrimination

 

•List main pieces of legislation in relation to equal opportunities

 

•Distinguish between equality and diversity

 

•Explore how people apply these principles in your work

 

This training day relates to  NVQ in  Health and Social Care Units at all levels
