Learning Disability Awareness


The aims of this course are:


To further participants knowledge of learning disabilities and associated

health, medical or behaviour issues

By the end of the course participants will have:-

•Revisited definitions of learning disabilities

•Examined communication, and issues surrounding communication

•Examined how to deal with and handle information

•An understanding of risk and its management

•An understanding of assessment, care planning, and monitoring and how  to review  them

•A discussion around Person Centred Approaches
